X/Y Projection (invoked from 2d context menu)

These functions project the 2d spectrum onto either X-axis or Y-axis. There are 3 possibilities,
(a) No boundary was marked: The projection is of the entire 2d spectrum.
(b) A rectangular boundary was drawn: The projection is of the rectangular box.
(c) A banana gate (ploygonal shape) was drawn (see BGate): The projection is of the banana gate.

If a box is visible on the spectrum window, LAMPS computes a box projection. If a banana gate is visible on the spectrum window, a banana projection is done. If both are visible, it is a banana projection. However, this is made clear in the window title. The window title also tells you if it was a X-Projection or a Y-Projection. The window title is something like:
XProj. of 2d Spec# 1 (box projection) or
Ban YProj. of 2d #1 (banana projection)

If you get a banana projection when the intention is a box projection, you need to "Hide Banana" from the BGate function.

After a projection has been made, all the functions applicable to 1d spectra are available. There is also the extra function, "Back to 2d" which returns you to the 2d display.

To save a projection use the Read/Write function from the 1d context menu after making the projection.
